Mother's Day Tea
Mother's Day Tea
What’s better to celebrate Mother’s Day than a classic and cozy tea time? Maybe spending time outdoors learning about harvesting plants for making tea, followed by a relaxing afternoon in the Wildwood Homestead with homemade treats? That’s just what we’re offering!
Join us May 10th from 1:00-4:00 for a walk through our trails to learn about which native plants can be sustainably harvested for a delicious and healthy tea and finish up at the Homestead to enjoy some Wildwood tea and homemade goodies. A naturalist will be providing games and crafts for your kids aged 5-12 so you can relax, kid-free, inside the cozy Homestead lounge or at the idyllic lakeside.
No matter the weather, the event will go on! We will not be cancelling due to rain.
Arrival:
Please plan to arrive around 12:45, and park in the main parking lot as you turn off of Crane Road onto the property. Walk down the drive to the Visitor Centre where our naturalists will be waiting for you.
Amenities and Accessibility:
There are 2 outhouses, one being accessible to wheelchairs. You will be outdoors for the first hour of the event, and will be walking on forest trails. On the trails, there’s a small downhill slope in the forest and a bigger slope up the gravel path. There is a four-step staircase to get into the Homestead, where the second half of the event will be with a proper bathroom. Please note that cell service is limited.
We’re sorry to say that dogs are not allowed on site so please leave your furry friends at home.
