Field Trip Policies and Guidelines
Program Cancellation and Safety Policy
As a non-profit organization, the Ecoforestry Institute Society (EIS) relies on program fees to maintain our operations and staff. Last-minute cancellations significantly impact our ability to deliver our mission.
Cancellations made at least 7 days prior to the scheduled program date will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations made less than 7 days before the scheduled program are non-refundable.
Safety and Weather-Related Cancellations
The safety of our visitors is our primary concern. EIS reserves the right to cancel a program if weather conditions are deemed hazardous (e.g., high winds posing a risk of falling branches, or flooding).
Decisions to cancel are made solely by the EIS Education Team.
If EIS cancels a program due to safety concerns, you will be contacted directly and offered a full refund or a rescheduled date.
Please note that typical rain or cold temperatures do not constitute a reason for a refund.
