Ecofilms produces documentaries and general interest programs covering a wide range of topics from ecoforestry to relaxation/dementia therapy DVD’s. Other titles feature: the history of Whistler Mountain, the story of the Cowichan River, the story of Merve Wilkinson and his Wildwood forest, how to act and direct Shakespeare, kayaking in BC’s Gulf Islands, how to play disc golf, a buffalo wagon trek, the award winning children’s series “The Eco Explorers” and more. Many of the tiles feature the music of Ken Hamm and Gary Fjellgaard. Visit our You Tube channel to screen streaming video clips from all of our titles.

Ecoforestry School of the Maritimes at Windhorse Farm

Windhorse is a place and a path of celebration. Today Windhorse Farm is:
-The Drescher family home, and a temporary home for guests, visitors, students, interns, vacationers, and retreatants.
-A place for people to let go of the busyness and habitual patterns of their lives and celebrate the magical simplicity of mind and nature.
-A path of land stewardship, honouring the 150 year legacy of the Wentzell family.
-An opportunity to learn (Windhorse Farm is one of the sustainability “demonstration sites” for the climate change program of Windhorse Education Foundation.)

Interior Columbia Basin Ecosystem Management Project (ICBEMP)

July 1993, President Clinton directed the Forest Service to "develop a scientifically sound and ecosystem-based strategy for management of eastside forests." Responding to this direction, the project was initiated by the United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service and the United States Department of Interior Bureau of Land Management.

Cortes Ecoforestry Society
