Hairy Honeysuckle

Scientific name: 
Lonicera hispidula

Similar to Orange Honeysuckle.

General: Crawling, hairy branches.

Leaves: Opposite, deciduous, oval, 4-10cm long, the end pair of each twig joined to form a disk; with a whitish bloom underneath.

Flowers: Pinkish-purple flowers, 1-2 cm long.

Ecology: Dry, open forests, thickets and rocky ridges from Southern Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands to California.
